Of course, it took a complete lock down to bring me out of hiding and clear up my schedule to write more. I guess there is always some kind of good in every bad situation. If there’s one thing we’re all (well at least I am) gaining during this crazy time is actual TIME. Time to spend with the family.. lots of it… time to sit back and reflect on our lives… time to learn how to do that thing that has been on our New Year’s Resolution list forever and time to really and truly do absolutely nothing. Sometimes, we just need time to do nothing… where we relax our minds, slow down from the hustle and bustle of life and this global pandemic has certainly done that.
During this time, my heart breaks for the thousands of families that have lost loved ones and the millions of families that are dealing with a friend or relative that has contracted COVID-19. Even now I pray for healing and comfort for you all! 🙏
The last 2 weeks have certainly been interesting and I’m trying to find a way to cope maneuver this new work from home lifestyle. It’s no stranger to my husband and I as we did this very thing years ago, however that was when we had 1 child who was much younger. Now, we’re dealing with a 10 year old, a 9 year old and a 2 year old and I can tell you that IT IS CHALLENGING.
Zoom has become a friendly roommate, Netflix our place of sanity and my bed my place of normalcy. It’s kind of crazy how drastic everything can change in such a short time, but this is life 🙂 We’re not promised tomorrow or that it would be perfect every day. So with that, I hesitantly but excitedly look forward to the challenges ahead and figure it would be fun (and needed for my sanity) to start a kind of online diary of my days. It would probably be interesting to look back on it in another years time to reflect on just how crazy 2020 was!
Well, that’s all for now. Hopefully you don’t get sick and tired of me with my daily diary but I’m gonna do it!!! Wish me luck and stay safe, healthy, strong & most importantly, STAY HOME!
