It’s almost here! The day to eat your cares away 🙂 Well, not really but it certainly the single day of the year that I eat the most food in a 24 hour period. While this is usually not a problem for me, even in the least bit, this year in particular I happen to be on a …….d i e t (insert shocked face emoji and sad face emoji.. make that multiple sad face emojis).
After the birth of my last little bambino, I put on weight as per expected during pregnancy, however, unlike the other 2 pregnancies, I can’t seem to get the weight off this time. The other two were a breeze and I was down to my thin self within a few months. Here I am almost 2 years later still in a Size (blank). No, I won’t say it…maybe I’ll share my fitness journey and disclose the outlandish figure then but let’s just settle on it’s more than I’ve ever weighed before.
If I’m honest though I must admit that I kind of like having a little more meat on my bones. I always wanted to weigh a bit more so I’m not toooo mad about it BUT it’s a bit over my desired weight. While on the topic, if you’re reading this and struggling with your weight (whether you wished you weighed more or less) let me say a few things:
1. The most important thing is to be healthy not skinny. Example: 115 pounds may be healthy on someone but not healthy on someone else so the pounds in itself is not the be all end all.
2. The second most important thing is to be confident and love yourself. (Note that if you love yourself you’ll make sure to keep yourself healthy.) Be confident in who you are and what you look like. We are all beautiful creatures and have a lot to offer this world just the way we are.
So this week I will have to “sadly” break my diet a bit and partake of the goodness & tradition of Thanksgiving dinner. I’ll have to add a few more workouts to the schedule to accommodate the extra calories but I think I’ll be okay 🙂
Have a good weekend and Happy Thanksgiving week!
